RP HP UHP grade graphite electrode and nipples for EAF and LF
Did you know that there are two ways to make iron? The blast furnace method and the electric arc furnace method. The electric arc furnace method recycles used iron scrap by melting it in an electric arc furnace. It is the graphite electrodes inside the furnace that actually melt the iron. Graphite Electrode has high thermal conductivity and is very resistant to heat and impact. It also has low electrical resistance, which means it can conduct the large electrical currents needed to melt iron.

Operating Guide
1. Please refer to current load and density when choosing graphite electrodes.
2. Rain,snow and water should be kept away during transportation and storage, get graphite electrodes dry before use.
3. During loading, unloading and delivering, be careful not to make any damage to the threads.
4. Compressed air is required to clear dust off the threads before connecting, make sure that nipples and electrodes are properly twisted.
5. If iron nipple is used to hoist the electrodes, make sure that the threads of iron nipples are not deformed to avoid damaging the threads of electrodes.
6. Using moment spanner to connect the electrode graphite in accordance the stipulated moment data.
7. The operation of arc furnace should be steady the nipple loosing.
8. Keep the electrodes clasper within the safety line during the operation.
9. To avoid the breaking of electrode from scrap, the electrodes should be up or down according to the melting condition and push the unmelted scrap into the furnace.
